Jaguar XJ e Plug-in Hybrid

In the mat Goodwood Festival of Speed 2012 is going on in UK, Jaguar Land Rover officially introduce its hybrid car, XJ e Plug-in Hybrid. This car is a special edition of XJ variants.

As quoted from Inautonews, XJ e Plug-in Hybrid is able to reduce CO2 emissions by more than 70 percent. This is to prove that hybrid technology at Jaguar Land Rover variant is best in its class.

“JRL is an investor who came from England in developing environmentally friendly technologies. With the XJ e Plug-in Hybrid is expected to provide choice for consumers,” said Engineering Director of Jaguar Land Rover Bob Joyce.

By JRL, Jaguar XJ e Plug-in Hybrid is still the same engines car the Range Rover Evoque, the gasoline engine equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter direct injected and mated with a capacity of 68 kW electric motor and lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 12.8 kWh.

The combined output power capable of producing 334 PS and only requires 3.2 liters of fuel per distance of 100 km (87 mpg) and is able to emit 75g/km of CO2.

Furthermore, the Jaguar XJ e Plug-in Hybrid engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission that can run from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds before reaching a top speed of up to 250 km/h.
